The greens were rock hard and very fast so it was impossible to get an approach shot anyway near the pin, for anybody let alone part time golfers.
Definitely spoilt the experience The course conditioning and layout itself is not too bad, just do not expect a quick game. Unfortunately slow play has plagued this course for 30 odd years.
WE HAVE PLAYED THIS COURSE MAY TIMES OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS .
THE COURSE WOULD HAVE TO BE IN THE WORST CONDITION I HAVE SEEN .
I appreciate members want to look after their courses but give people credit they know the rules as this was clearly signed on EVERY hole.
Clubhouse food was really nice and this is the second time playing the course with three friends who have never played there before and we would all play again.
You could see the potential, but just about every fairway was in need of urgent attention.
The greens were heavily scarified and sanded - but to be fair, that was announced when making the booking.
From The course does announce the greens are being renovated, within the notes section of the rates showing. Many courses on Gold Coast are going through this at moment.
do read the course map and print out if you can as you need to be aware of where not to go , with plenty of danger lurking off the tee . yes there is plenty of water around but not on every hole , and some holes the water is only in play for very wild shots .
good putters will like the greens as you will have many interesting putts . Course needs marshaling as a round of golf takes too long.
THE GROUND STAFF APPEAR TO BE STARTING TASKS AND NOT COMPLETING THEM BEFORE STARTING A NEW - ( TREE LOPPING , CUT BUT NOT REMOVED ) , BUNKER REPAIRS MOST ALL IN DIFFERENT STATE OF REPAIR .
MAINTAINENCE TRUCKS HAVE GOUGED TRACKS EVERY WHERE .
